Social Capital and Cyber Power in the African American Community

Racial Ravine is indicative of the large divide between the color of citizens and their access to phones, computers, and internet. The is a strong correlation between ethnic minorities and the lower rate of access that they tend to have to information. Furthermore, it's not just a question of digital divide anymore, because trends show that minorities are the ones usually excluded. Even if they do have access to information, it might not be relevant to what appeals to them, or they might not even have the education or "capability" to access and make use of this information. This problem is further demonstrated through a discussion of the "four C's" in another article that we read for class.
